This project was a challenge to redesign the main characters and cultures of Hans Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen. I have adapted the characters into a  Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition module, including the rough designs and an example page featuring the final boss, the Snow Queen herself.

With this outfit I chose to show Sansa as the transition from Winter to Spring, bright pastels being covered by a thick cloak and wolf pelt.

Gerda and Kay were meant to reflect the cultures with their costumes, Gerda with the Swedish inspired Northlanders and Kay inspired by the Snow Queen's French influence.

The final season of Game of Thrones included many ups and downs, a highlight being the costuming. In a series of two croquis I have created costumes for Cersei and Sanza. Here Cersei is shown through layers being a fiery presence swallowed by responsibility.
