People Shocked as Real Life at End of Movie Do Not Look Like Actors who Play Them

Updated: Dec 12, 2021

The premiere of the newest hit drama “Springtime Falls in Winter for Summer” was last week. The story of a girl who grows up and has a bad thing happen while her parents don’t seem to interfere or care much for that matter stars several decorated and celebrated Hollywood A-listers. The critics love the serious themes of the story but the movie still has received backlash due to one shocking scene before the credits.

The movie fades to black with the characters celebrating their success when it shows the real life people whose story inspired the movie. This picture shocked audiences as the shocking fact that they do not look exactly like the actors who portray them. They look like normal people. Critics and audiences alike were stunned by the decision to even include a picture of normal people in a movie. “I came to this movie to see hot people, this just ruins my immersion” Prominent film reviewer Xx_FilmDude3_xX says on Rotten Tomatoes.

Not all reviews for this decision are bad. Several people are pointing out the important inclusion of normal people on the big screen. “I just think it’s so brave, to show normal people on the screen is almost unheard of in these times” notes physiologist Eugene Crobs. “We see these people and go ‘wow that’s neat’ and then forget that it was a real event about 10 seconds later, but for that 10 seconds those stories are told”.

Hollywood celebs of all kinds are what we are used to seeing in these types of situations and it becomes incredibly shocking to see that these types of things can happen to average people. It grounds the movie in a frankly unethical way as it misleads the audience into believing that if they aren’t as attractive as these people they can escape harm.

Seeing an average person on screen is a large step for Hollywood but some say this may not even be enough. Maybe someday average people could dream of seeing themselves represented on the big screen too. Maybe not even as an insert photo into the movie to ground the story and cover up the dramatization of the real event as well.
